

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you" A later email and phone reply advised me that Canon had no intention of supporting the LIDE 700F and the best solution would be to purchase an LIDE 200 or LIDE 300 which have drivers and supporting software package compatible with Catalina 10.15.


I emailed Canon Helpdesk and received the following reply, "We regret to advise that we do not have a current standalone scanner available on Canon Australia online store that will support the new Mac OS Catalina 10.15. My LIDE 700F would start up and scan the first image but after that I could not do anything else i.e no subsequent scans or saves ( I would just get an error message). I had loaded the latest drivers (though only for OSZ 10.14) and the latest Navigator EX. The problem I had was that when I upgraded to Mac OS 10.15 (Catalina) my scanner stopped working.
